Goals for June

Have being MIA for quite a while, finally back to action.

Its going to be end of May soon…so Fast! Think back what have I done for the pass few weeks.

Finally gotten my China Driving License

It was pretty easy & cheap, which cost me only about RMB160 plus they give you a booklet which contain the 100 question that will be tested. But one point to mention for the translation of foreign  license in English to Chinese language, the officers at the center can do the translation, don’t really need to go to the Shanghai city to do it. Sad to say only English, other languages still need to go to the authorised association.

My New Honda Fit

Buying cars in China is fairly cheap compared to Singapore, but due to budget limitation, my husband & I just gotten a 1.5L Honda Fit. Well quite reasonable only about RMB120,000 cash (inclusive of insurance). But beware of the quote car dealer is giving, as they don’t really give you a actual purchase amount, they just roughly give you a quote. But then when you decided to buy, so many additional cost which they did not mention.

Preparing for my summer wardrobe

Finally can feel the heatwaves, so decided to add new items into my wardrobe to prepare for the summer. Recently being in love with dresses, those reaches only the knees.

hmmm…not much things accomplished for this month, so decided to set of goals for June.

Pick up my Yoga classes

I have dropped yoga classes since Chinese New Year, I think its time for me to pick up again since pretty alright now. Plus PC keep nagging me for wasting money to sign up the membership which I hardly use.

Finish up my golf course

Yes, haven’t being going to golf course for quite a while. Well not actually my fault, as the course PC & I signed up is for 2 people package, & PC was out-station last few weeks. I can’t go for the course individually. I just left about 6 more lessons, hmmm…that means I can only finish it by July then. Anyway, really need to pick up the skill back, coz everytime my dad comes he will ask me about my golf course. *Stress*

Eat Healthy

Being hospitalize for half day last week due to gastric pain, well not sure whether is it gastric pain. I just felt pain around my stomach, its like all the measles contracted. Doctor couldn’t examine out anything, so I gave me a bags of drip (very commonly practice in China) & some medicine to bring home.

Bring my kids to at least one tourist attraction

For this June, quite a number of outing invitations. Well if nothing goes wrong, I’ll be bring them along.

Setup a database for all my customers

Well, I always want to that, setting a database for each of my customers. We do have a simple one, but I think its really not enough. I really hope to accomplish it by this month, maybe at least half of the customers list.

Finish up at least 1/10 of my stitching

Last year I bought a very big stitching cloth, which its a beautiful red autumn scenry. Until now just only finish a bit. So I hope to at least finish up 1/10 of the picture.

Happy Mothers’ Day

Yesterday was Mothers’ Day! hahha…first time realised Mothers’ Day is so meaningful to me. Becoz this is my 1st Mothers’ Day celebrating with my kids. Although my kids still young to make me cards, send me flowers (Oh ya, I sent a bouquet of flowers to my mother, she loves it! Technology is such a good friend of mine!) or gifts, to make it meaningful, I decided to bring them to the Aquarium Park in Shanghai.

So morning getting them dress up, love doing that for them!

^ 1st one to dress up is Belinda, see she so adorable!! Cannot resist to take more photos of her.

^ She love people praising her, especially say she is pretty! hahha…kids!

^ This is Angela! hahah..a-yi clip her hair in the wrong direction!

^ This should be the correct way….so cute right!

^ Less than 5 mins, Angela’s hair become messy again!

^ Belinda is posing again! She love taking photos!

^ Belinda do have un-glam photos as well, see! Ask her to pose, she just squall like that!

^ See another un-glam photo of her! hahah!

^ Angela’s un-glam photo!

So we are ready to set off to the Aquarium Park in Shanghai, PuDong!

Its actually quite expensive, adults ticket cost me RMB120/person. Luckily my kids haven’t reach 0.8 meters, so FOC!

A-yi & I went in to have our lunch, so hungry! While the kids was in their baby trolley waiting.

^ Both waited until too bored!

^ “Mummy, can you stop taking photos!! When can we go in??”

^ Belinda looking very excited with the colorful fishes swimming around.

^ Angela very shy in camera, see Belinda trying to give her cute pose again!

^ Their attention were only for a while, then Miss Belinda went to play with her trolley instead! *Faint* So what’s Miss Angela doing??

^ Playing with her fingers!!

^ Push them to look around.

^ Family photos! hai…no time to even put on make-up!

^ So I went to explore myself. Found this sea creature very interesting, its call the Horseshoe Crab. Well, its not a crab instead its call the living fossil as evolved & survived over the past 4 hundred years! My god…older than a turtle! But I find this interesting becoz they look like those army helmets! hahhaa..

^ This is the Giant Japanese Spider Crab! hahha..really looks like a spider! Anyone want chili crab for dinner??

^ Jelly Fish!! So cute!

^ Lion Fish, very commonly found in Asia!

^ Not too sure what fish is this, but I find this very interesting with all the spots on its body!

^ Lastly spotted this, its shows how the baby shark develop in the eggs. Its really alive! They are actually swimming around, within the eggs.

^ So when they grow bigger, they will look like this.

*So it was then the end of the trip, we just went in for 3 hrs!

^ When we got back home, it was only 3pm, so I brought them down to the park to play.

^ Angela busy playing with the ball while Belinda hunting for treasure within the grass.

^ Its really good for the kids to play in the nature.

^ Belinda happily playing on the grass.

^ Angela as well! They usually play for at least an hour then have to “force” them back!

^ Belinda again!

^ Quite like the special effect of this photo, have you notice the size? Belinda (Right side) seems to be bigger than Angela (Left side). They are actually the same, its just Belinda is nearer to the camera. Amazing.

^ Time to change role, Belinda went to play with the ball while Angela do the treasure hunting.

^ Angela changes her mind, decided to play with the balls!

So that whole afternoon, we spend most of the time at the part. Nothing fantastic happened, yet I still feel happiness.

Thanks for this special gift my 2 little princess.

Parenting - 21 Ways to Enjoy Being a Mom

Sometimes is to good to remind myself how enjoyable being a mummy of a twin. Especially when I’m need to send a urgent e-mail but they don’t allow me to sit for even 5 mins, when I’m so tired trying to put them to bed they keep running around…blar blar blar..

I was browsing through the Internet & found this article very funny.

  1. When you’re tired, hand your kids a brush, point to your head, and tell them to play beauty parlor. When you’re really tired, pretend that you’re Sleeping Beauty.
  2. Take your mother to a spa. While you’re both getting seaweed wraps, tell her all your favorite memories of growing up.
  3. Take a bath with your infant. Make sure your husband is around for the handoff, so you can relax until the last minute. (Don’t forget to smell your baby right afterward. Heaven!)
  4. At the end of every summer, take a family photo for the holiday card (you’ll be happy to have this accomplished once December comes). Every year, add a framed 11-by-14-inch print to your front hall. Your kids will be proud now and laugh later at the funny styles.
  5. On St. Patrick’s Day, dye the milk and eggs green and turn the furniture upside down so your home looks like total chaos. When your little ones wake up, tell them that the leprechauns came.
  6. The next time you have to go to a boring kiddie activity, invite another mom-friend along. Hide wine in sippy cups for the two of you to nurse undercover.
  7. Play Freaky Friday with your husband and switch roles for a day. Enjoy his renewed appreciation for his Super Mom wife.
  8. . In the dead of winter, fix some snacks, get under warm quilts, and watch Happy Feet on DVD. Tell your kids you love them even more than the penguins love their chicks.
  9. Go to the beach in the off-season. Throw rocks in the water and collect shells. Put them in a vase and use it as shelf decor in your living room.
  10. Skip the Raffi and Barney. Turn your kids on to Bob Marley, They Might Be Giants, and Gwen Stefani.
  11. Take your baby out to the movies at night. (Infants love the dark, and loud trailers make them snooze immediately.) Then you can sip your soda and munch your popcorn in peace.
  12. Buy yourself that fancy watch, strand of pearls, or whatever piece of expensive jewelry you’ve been lusting after. Justify your purchase by rationalizing that you’ll pass it down to your daughter (or son’s wife) eventually.
  13. Take your kids to live music performances from very early ages. Cheap ones outdoors are great to start with in case you need to make a hasty exit (like when a diaper explodes).
  14. Use your kids as an excuse to do the things you want to do, like going to silly feel-good movies, eating mac and cheese for dinner, and jumping in the moonbounce. Use your kids as an excuse to get out of things you don’t want to do, like going to a wedding or office party.
  15. Every Mother’s Day, have a picture taken with your kids. Keep the photos all together - along with special cards, ticket stubs, mementos, and anything else that makes you feel good about being a mom - in a shoe box. (Of course, you must get those new shoes you love in order to do this correctly.) Every year, look through your Goddess Mom box and see how much your kids have grown.
  16. Give your kids quiet time every day. Let them learn to be by themselves with books, crayons, or blocks.
  17. Let your whole family take a day off and hang out in pj’s all day long.
  18. Rent Sex and the City on DVD, and reminisce about the days when you were single and the biggest problem you had was whether the “He” of the moment was going to call. Let the romance of your youth seduce you. Then remember that, despite your freedom, all you really wanted was to fall in love and have beautiful babies.
  19. Pitch a tent in the backyard. Use it as your outdoor reading room. Or when there’s a full moon, plan a family campout with sleeping bags, a transistor radio, and s’mores, of course.
  20. Invent a house fairy. Give her a name, and tell your kids that she is always watching them and counting up their good deeds.
  21. Listen for the deep, happy sighs that come after your kids play or laugh really hard. Tuck them away in your heart.

Movie - 27 Dresses

Romantic Comedy movies are always my all time favourite. I can watch them all day long, again & again, not feeling bored. Thats why alot of my friends always tense me for acting like a young girl still having day dreams. Hai!

This movie is about this idealistic & completely selfless lady called Jane (cast by  Katherine Heigl) whose part-time job is being a bridesmaid. Actually is part of her hobby! She is madly & secretly in love with her boss, whom then fell in love with her Sister (Tragic!). Oh well, usually the one you secretly fond of is not the Mr or Miss Right. So there comes the Mr Right (cast by James Marsden). He is actually the one acting as a prince in Disney movie “Enchanted”.

Although I find the story line is pretty short, overall I should say this movie is damn good (for ladies).

This is how they 1st met each other, Katherine fainted & James came over to help. Before that James already eyeing on Katherine.

Katherine’s Sister & boss, well suppose to be married. But Katherine couldn’t stand her sister pretending to be someone she is not, so Katherine exposed it out during the engagement dinner. (What a embarrassment!)

Love her smiles!

I think James should eat more, he is too skinny in this movie.

Melbourne Trip

One of my wishing items is finally fulfilled–> Going back to Melbourne!

Went there 2 weeks ago to attend my sister’s graduation ceremony in Melbourne Exhibition Convention.

The weather was real good, it was autumn when I went there, so pretty cool weather with bright sunshine, really a perfect weather to go Melbourne.

Not much changes since I graduated from University, everything looks quite the same before I left, except more shopping districts & restaurants.

I was taking some photos along the way while walking from Swantson Street to Crown. Above is one of the churches just opposite the Flinders Station (Melbourne Oldest Metro station).

So missed the tram in Melbourne!

Went to my favourite Victoria Market as well, damn bought so much things from there.

*Can spot my sister?

Love the fresh fruits & vegetables, so colorful, & juicy! They really make you want to eat them raw! See my sister is demonstrating.

My sister finally graduated! Congratulation! My dad is very supportive, specially fly to Melbourne to attend her graduation. As for me, part of it is to celebrate the joy with my sister, the other part is to accompany my dad there as I need to act as a translator.

See how happy they are.

She was real busy that day, like a superstar, busy taking photos with her friends. Luckily taken one shot with her.

Angela & Belinda’s 1st Birthday

Finally have the chance to update my website! Maybe its the change of environment, my kids keep clamping on my legs like koala bears wherever I go. I have to move in small little steps to make sure they won’t fall, as now they can walk quite steady. It was really like hell when I brought them over to Shanghai, as they don’t want the A-yi, making me real hard to do alot of things. *Even to go toilet as well! So have to play hide & seek with them.

Luckily after these few days, they finally accept the A-yi but when they sees me, there they go again, clamping on my legs like koala bears.

I read on a magazine, they say its normal for toddles to be like that, once they reach 2 years old they will be fine. Then they will change from koala bears to kangaroos! Jump…Jump…Jump…

We went back Malaysia to celebrate their 1st birthday before bring them over. We didn’t throw a big party, just a simple meal with family members. I mean they are still toddles, when they are about 3 or 4 years old then throw a theme party, at least at that age they know how to play with a lot of kids.

Getting dress up for the dinner.

This is their 1st time wearing skirts.

I love this photo, as Belinda is trying to play shy in front of the camera while PC is trying to take photos of her.

Singing birthday songs!

They are back from Morning walks, have to accompany them. I’ll blog more about my Melbourne trip in the next entry.
